Indicted were Somerset residents David Rubin, 61; Lisa Rubin, 54; Sherylee Rubin, 58; and Dunia Patricia Hernandez, 32. Also indicted were Batsheva Rubin-Rivera, 24, of New Brunswick;  and Andre Watts, 30, of North Brunswick.

David Rubin is married to Lisa and Rubin-Rivera is their daughter.  Sherylee Rubin is David Rubin's sister.

Authorities carried out an investigation of Everything Wireless on suspicion that the business was purchasing items that had been shoplifted from major retailers like Walmart, Lowes and Bed, Bath and Beyond. The Rubin family members have each been charged with being the ringleaders of an operation that purchased the goods knowing they had been stolen, among other offenses.

Authorities allege the goods were then sold at the store or via a website.

David and Lisa Rubin were also charged with  unauthorized use of ATP cards or Food Stamp Program coupons, which are intended for the needy. David Rubin was also charged with receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, known as Tramadol, which had been prescribed to a Cliffside Park woman who has since died.

All six defendants have been indicted on charges of operating an organized retail theft enterprise, receiving stolen property, and fencing by dealing in stolen property.

If convicted of any one of the second-degree crimes, each defendant faces 5 to 10 years in prison.
